esteemed educator. The book is very interesting and contains early history of
Ireland, Edgefield County, South Carolina and the families of Michael McCarty,
Sr. (I), Michael McCarty, Jr. (II), Edward McCarty and Edward Larramon-Laremore.
Among the other allied families included in the book are Greenwade, Thomas,
Palmer, Eastham, Le Grande, Michaux, Rochelle-Rochette and others as well as the
French Huguenot family in France (1640). Following the immigration from Ireland through
Virginia and South Carolina includes Indian Territory in 1890. In addition to an
index, the reader will find drawings, census records, charts, photos, maps and

book, ISBN 978097082450, indexed and contains illustrations, genealogical
information, and a family timeline from 1621 to 2006, and photographs. The book
a collection of letters from the late 18th century, through the 19th century,
and into the early 20th century that tells the story of six generations of one
family. It includes letters from the Virginia side of the family— letters from
John Cropper of Accomac, Virginia, and his descendants, most notably Cropper’s
grandson, Henry A. Wise, Congressman, Governor, and General, and his children.
Additional material includes includes letters and diaries from the New York side
of the family— the Whitesides, McKies, and Thayers of Cambridge and Troy, New
York. The book includes letters from Valley Forge, the American Civil War, and
the Spanish-American War. It includes the letters between Henry Wise Hobson of
Virginia and Colorado and his wife, Katherine Thayer Hobson of Troy and Colorado
Springs, and then the letters written after Henry Hobson’s death in 1898 as a
young widow raised her family.
