 This very limited edition, large format book
is in a full color hardbinding. It includes 110 pages, index,
photographs and excerpts from the 1930 King Jack Newspaper, and more.
The third volume, continuing this invaluable project,
includes some information about Ottawa County, Oklahoma families,
submitted by family members. Its' focus is to spotlight the vanishing
Cardin and Picher families and the community as it is, was, and will
always be in the hearts of Ottawa County Families. Additional information
from the Indian Pioneer History Collection of the Oklahoma Historical
Society, has been transcribed and deals with some families
who resided in what became Ottawa County is also included in the book.
About the
Cover (from back): The cover photo was snapped by Fredas L. Cook,
in 2006, while he was in Cardin, Oklahoma, assisting with oral history
interviews for the Oklahoma Historical Society. In the twilight, he was
able to capture the serenity of this mill pond.
A
professional Photographer, photo restoration artist, author, and photo
journalist, his work has appeared in several national markets for many
years.
This is an ongoing project to record the history of
the people who are currently living in or have lived in Ottawa County.
