Current as of August 1, 2003

Carrie Ann Cook, Fairland, Oklahoma, holds an Associate of Arts Degree in Education from Northeastern Oklahoma A&M College, Miami, Oklahoma and a Bachelor of Science Degree in Education from Northeastern State University, Tahlequah, Oklahoma.   She has held several different state’s teaching certificates, as well as national credentials.  Carrie currently teaches Genealogy, Writing and Computer courses at Northeast Technology Center in Afton, Oklahoma.

A published author of several genealogical and educational works, she has also provided many of her own illustrations and is a professional photographer.  The fourth generation of the family directly involved in Gregath Co., she serves as company Vice President and gives various genealogical, historical, writing and computer programs from small meeting talks to lectures in the classroom.  Bringing her experience and outlook to the company’s website and conducting genealogical tours, as well as planning the company’s annual October genealogical event, are a few of her special business interests.

Holding membership in various lineal organizations, Miss Cook is active in many different projects.  Her involvement in different organizations is varied, from Native American Scholarships to American Flag Etiquette.  Carrie’s personal interests tend toward the historical, as well.  Participation as a woman’s cloth dancer at Native American pow-wows to historical travel, begin to illustrate her interest in different cultures and how they evolve.  Several of her ongoing book projects center on, in addition to family history, preservation and rediscovery of historical events and places.
