Live history by traveling to Historical Civil War Battlefields, November 4-13^th hosted by the Cowskin Prairie Chapter, United Daughters of the Confederacy, Grove, Oklahoma.  The bus tour is open to the adult traveling public and is not restricted to UDC members. 

The tour fee includes transportation, double occupancy hotel stays, 10 meals, applicable entry fees, and more.  History enthusiasts should expect educational materials, some entertainment and surprises. 

The tour will make pick-ups in Joplin, Missouri, Ottawa County and Tulsa, Oklahoma, Ft. Smith and Little Rock, Arkansas, before heading to Pine Bluff, Arkansas Post (Fort Hindman) and the Lake Village, AR areas.   

Major Civil War battle sites visited include Vicksburg, Chickamauga, Lookout Mountain, Stone’s River, Shiloh and Corinth. Other historical sites, covering six states are included.  The group will also travel in the Natchez area, visiting Rosemont Plantation and Beauvior.  The group will also see sites in Baton Rouge, New Orleans, Mobile Bay, Murfreesboro, and Memphis. 

During their stay in the Nashville area the group will visit Columbia, Spring Hill, Brentwood and Franklin sites.  All were a part of the campaign for Nashville.
