More About the
Workshop

Register by mail, telephone, or email early to reserve your space. Although this year registration at the door is no higher than early registration, seating is limited and early registration is all inclusive - including an entry for the swag bag. Early Saturday registrants receive their tickets by mail or email which will allow them to enjoy lunch included as well as guaranteeing a source book and goodie bag. Saturday Admission at the door, if available, doesn't include lunch and goodie bags and source books will only be available while they last. In addition to the "main event" Saturday, we encourage everyone to join us for dinner on Friday night, which is available by early registration only. In addition to several door prizes from Gregath on Saturday, the keynote speaker will have a special door prize bag for a lucky winner as well.

Mary Clement Douglass, Certified Genealogist Presents:

  • Introduction to Land Records If you had access to a group of records that gave you more genealogical information than the federal census, gave you the migration paths of your ancestors, and gave you the maiden, as well as the married, names of
your female ancestors, would you use it? Learn how to use one of the most efficient and effective resources for genealogical study - land records.

  • Read That Deed For All Its Worth Are you using ALL the clues found in a deed, mortgage, lease, and other individual land transfers?

Fredrea Gregath Cook, Publisher and Author will speak on:

  • Land in the Old Northwest Territory will deal with the first land opening after the American Revolution.  The first rectangular surveys took place there and opened the way for more westward movement.

Carrie Ann Cook, Publisher and National Speaker lectures about:

  • Gateways and Trails to the West will review some of the routes used by our ancestors as they colonized the east and moved further west.
