Genealogy in the Woods 2013
Sky Ranch at Cave Springs Ranch House
October 26-27, 2013
Same Venue as 2003, 2005, 2007, and 2011!

Retreat
Canceled

Cave Springs/Sky Ranch Website

Unfortunately, after booking to near capacity, Sky Ranch at Cave Springs informed us our ranch house availability was reduced by at least 5 hours, due to a new group's needs. This was unforeseen as our 2013 schedule mirrored 2011, and the completed SRCS contract did not address timeframe. While still welcome on this Christian campus, alternatives would have drastically reduced the retreat experience.

We are sorry to announce that have found no comparable alternative and have canceled. We thank Julie McClain, Guest Services Specialist and Doug McClain, Camp Director for their efforts of August 28, 2013.

We have enjoyed our relationship with Cave Springs, since 2003, and everyone seems to have a wonderful time there. We wish all those attending SRCS during our originally scheduled dates the best.

Fredrea Gregath Cook

Fredrea Gregath Cook attended Northeastern State Teachers College (currently Northeastern State University), Tahlequah, Oklahoma and Northeastern Oklahoma A&M College, Miami, Oklahoma.  She is a published author of genealogical and historical material, including college level textbooks.

Fredrea has developed and taught genealogical research and writing courses of study at colleges and universities and is one of Gregath Co.'s speakers. Her love of history has provided unique perspective in the family publishing business.  Fredrea is busier than ever with historical projects, upon her 2010 retirement from Gregath Company.

Mrs. Cook is the third generation to have been involved in both genealogical and historical research, writing, teaching, lecturing, and touring, as well as the printing and publishing industry.  She is active in numerous patriotic and lineal organizations, as well as local community groups.  A small sampling of her organizational membership include the Genealogical Speakers Guild, National Genealogical Society, Association of Professional Genealogists, and the Ottawa County Genealogical Society.  For a larger listing of her memberships and activities, click here. In 2008, she was elected to her first two year term on Director of the Genealogical Speakers Guild and is still serving in that capacity.
