Whit Edwards
Historical and Genealogical Records

Whit Edwards is the current Director of Education and Programs with the Oklahoma Historical Society.  He holds degrees from the University of Tennessee and College of William and Mary.  In the past, Whit spent six years in the public schools teaching and eight years working as the Programs Coordinator for the Oklahoma Department of Tourism.  Whit has earned many awards including: 1988 and 1989 Take Pride in America; 1989 Tourism Pawnee Bill Wild West Show; 1993 Tourism  Battle of Honey Springs; 1994 Tourism Battle of Middle Boggy;

1997 Daughters of the American Revolution Heritage; 1997 Son’s of Confederate Veterans Heritage; 1997 Sojourners’s Heritage Education; 1998 Oklahoma Museums Association Heritage Education Outreach.  He is also a Living History Festival Consultant as well as author of “The Death Doom is Theirs”. Whit has also appeared in eleven Television and Movie Productions.
