*Elite type: Refers to character spacing - spaced at 12 characters per inch.

*Exceptions list: A list of elements that are "exceptions to the rule" - the writer's and/or editor's rule for the publication.  For example, it may be decided that county and married will be abbreviated, however for transcribed documents, all spellings and abbreviations should be left the same.

Terms marked with an asterisk (*) are not generally used in our office.

Another way you may have your book stand out is to choose a non-standard size (HxW): Some publishers don't chard extra to change your dementions. As always, if budget is a factor, find out if there will be an upcharge before deciding is making a 7x10", 5.5x6", etc. book is right for you.

Does most of your selling market live in a small geographical region? You might consider a USPS Every Door Direct Mailing promotional piece. This saturates the area(s) you choose without having to have individual addresses. The discount per piece for mailing is low without having to buy anything extra as well.

Have you checked the internet lately to see if further resources have been placed online for your area/name in the past few months? If you are at a stand still and havn't checked in a few months, maybe it's time to do so again. Better yet, set Google alerts for specific names, etc.
