The Wheaton Publishing Company, Inc. has announced that the book “Wheaton Echoes” has been completed and will be available July 5th, 2007 at the “Wheaton Echoes” booth during the Wheaton Centennial Celebration.

Wheaton Publishing Company, Inc. is now taking orders for the book to be delivered July 5, 2007. The book will be released in conjunction with the huge Centennial Celebration being planned by the City of Wheaton, July 5th, 6th, 7th, and 8th 2007.

Eighteen months ago the arduous task, of researching and recording a written and photo history of the first 100 years of the town of Wheaton, was undertaken.

It is now complete! The result is 544 pages 8½X11 inches of interesting history. There are 777 photographs dating back to the time before Wheaton was formed in 1907. There are 100 family histories of the people who were a part of Wheaton in the beginning and in the formative years, through today.

The book is introduced with the first chapter “Before Wheaton” written by Senator Emory Melton “Barry County Historian Extraordinaire”.
